(RED) is named after the color of emergency. It was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to turn companies and collaborators into a cavalry to fight the AIDS pandemic. Today, having raised nearly $700 million to fund life-saving programs, that cavalry is also fighting the urgent threat of COVID as it continues to have a devastating impact on many parts of the world.
The global COVID response has left the world’s poorest countries behind; (RED) is working to change that by funding vaccines and other critical life-saving programs where they are needed most. 100% of all funds raised are donated to the Fund for the Global Fund, which will distribute them to the Global Fund’s COVID-19 Response Mechanism and the COVAX AMC.
